Learn the lost story of Henry Nehrling who was Freistatt's first teacher from 1882 to 1885.  While in Freistatt, he studied the birds in the area and wrote the manuscript for two magnificent bird books. No one in Freistatt knew the story of Nehrling until 2020, when a former resident of Freistatt, Orville Osterloh, then 92, happened to vi

No one in Freistatt knew the story of Nehrling until 2020, when a former resident of Freistatt, Orville Osterloh, then 92, happened to visit "Nehrling Gardens" in Orlando, FL. and made the connection.
