2025 is the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the loss of Hubert Kleiboeker, who was killed fighting the Nazi forces on the French-German border.
The Claybaker family, a long lost branch of the Kleiboeker family are found through Y chromosome testing. Family lore that the Claybakers simplified the spelling of their last name turned out to be true.
The Meyer family was struck with multiple deaths from the 1918 Influenza Epidemic, leaving orphans taken in by the Kleiboeker Families
July 19–30, 2016 - We are back from Germany and had a trip of a lifetime!
We met relatives, new friends and experienced life in the early 1800's at the Cloppenburg Museum as well as visiting the original Kleiboeker family farmstead dating to the 1400s.
